Bulldogs Beat Down Hemphill, HEMPHILL, October 19, 2014 - The Corrigan-Camden  Bulldogs went into Hemphill on Friday night (10/17) and put a serious beat down on the Hornets.  In this game, the Dogs' offense, defense and special teams all played exceptionally well.  Mind you, this was a game that the Dogs were supposed to win, and they did what a solid team is expected to do when playing a lesser team; they beat them decisively.

SCORING SUMMARY:

First Quarter:

7:53 Malyk Johnson 54 yard td run, Keegan Mitchell runs in 2 pt cnv. Dogs 8, Hornets 0
00:14 Sammy Martinez 15 yard td run, Johnson runs in 2 pt. cnv. Dogs 16, Hornets 0

Second Quarter:

4:32 Lakendrick Moore 61 yard td run on QB keeper, missed pat. Dogs 22, Hornets 0
3:22 Moore 64 yard punt return for td, Dylan Parker catches pass for 2 pt. cnv. Dogs 30, Hornets 0
2:15 Mitchell 11 yard td run, missed pat. Dogs 36, Hornets 0

Third Quarter:

3:54 Martinez 15 yard td run, Johson runs in 2 pt cnv. Dogs 44, Hornets 0
3:19 Brandin Dirden catches 34 yard td pass, Jaylon Williams runs in 2 pt. cnv.

Final Score: Dogs 52, Hornets 0

No, the Dogs didn't score their usual 60 plus points, but they called off the dogs (so to speak) before it got to that point.  It was a great showing by the dogs as they shined in all phases of the game.  Next week Newton will pay a visit to  Corrigan, so the Dogs better be ready to keep playing at this level.

Editor's Note:  Our apologies for taking two days to crank out the highlight reel and pictures from the game.  I had a lot going on in my life and didn't have enough hours in the day to get everything done that I needed to do.
