Head Coach, Seven Armstrong gives encouragement to Senior Running Back, Malyk Johnson on Friday night in Groveton.

Bulldogs do Hatchet Job on Groveton Indians, GROVETON, September 6, 2015 – Well, there's much that can be said about this game, but, to put it in a nutshell, the Bulldogs are simply a better team all the way around than the Groveton Indians. The Indians were just way outmatched by the Dogs in every facet of the game.

FINAL SCORE: DOGS 74, INDIANS 33

To be a little more specific, the Indians weak defense against the Dogs powerful running game was just a disaster for the Groveton fans to watch. With senior quarterback LaKendrick Moore's ability to run, Senior running back Malyk Johnson, and up and coming running backs Jaylon Williams and Marcus Hood, the Indians simply couldn't stop the Bulldogs from scoring. Honestly, I thought the dogs got a little comfortable which led to sloppiness on the Bulldogs' part, which is why the Indians scored their points.

On special teams, the Dogs were just as dominant over the Indians.

On defense the Dogs are lead by senior linebacker, Ladarius Hamilton. Hamilton is joined by sophomore defensive back, Ty Love. Love is proving to be an exceptional defensive back. The highlight of his night was an 89 yard interception and return for touchdown. Senior linebacker Jarvoris Brooks also had a great night and was haunting the Indian backfield throughout the evening. I'm just naming a few of the players for the Bulldogs. The actual cohesive unit that this team forms is exceptional and is a testament to the excellent coaching by Head Coach Seven Armstrong and his staff. The team is chock full of fiery players and reflect the Corrigan-Camden Bulldog spirit.

Next game: Trinity in Corrigan.

Enjoy the highlight reel below.  The video was constructed by video production extraordionaire, Willie A. Openshaw.

Early in the first quarter, Jaylon Williams broke one for a 40 yd Bulldog TD to get the Dogs rolling.
Sophomore Ty Love seems to coming into his own. Here, Love picks off a pass and...
...sprints 89 yards for a Bulldog TD.
Junior, Thomas Casper jumps on an Indian fumble.
Moore completes a pass to a receiver who turns it up field for a nice gainer (Sorry, the receiver is unidentified because I can't see his number in the picture. If the Dogs had their numbers also on their sleeves, it would make identification much easier).
Zack Ivie pulls the Indian QB down by his jersey for another sack.
Sophomore Running Back, Marcus Hood had a very productive evening for the Bulldogs.
Malyk Johnson runs in the flat.
With the Dogs winning 44 to 21, Johnson crusies in for a(nother) Bulldog TD.
Johnson ran wherever he saw fit (nearly at will).
Alex Vance stops an Indian ball carrier.
Senior Quarterback, LaKendrick Moore, had a monster evening both running and passing for the Dogs.
