Congressman Kevin Brady Stopped by to Talk Small Business, Taxes, Economy and More, LIVINGSTON, June 8, 2011 - Congressman Kevin Brady came to My Place restaurant in Livingston on Tuesday morning and held a town hall style meeting. Brady addressed the audience and talked about the Republican plan to get America back on track once again. Brady said that the Republican plan would:
• Empower small business owners and reduce regulatory burdens • Fix the tax code to help job creators • Increase competitiveness for American manufacturers • Encourage entrepreneurship and growth • Maximize domestic energy production and ensure an energy policy for the 21st century • Pay down America's unsustainable debt burden and start living within our means
Congressman Brady also touched on the bold idea of moving to a consumption tax and getting away from our current tax code that drags down our economy and would free Americans from the IRS. Brady also spoke about the Environmental Protection Agency and its over reaching ways, Medicare, Social Security, America's debt and more.
