Richards Brings a Lifetime of Legal Experience to District Clerk's Office, LIVINGSTON, July 1, 2015 - Intermim District Clerk, Bobbye Richards was sworn in by District Judge, Ernie McClendon at 8 am on July 1, 2015. Richards brings a wealth of legal experience having a career that began in 1980. She spent over 20 years working at one of Houston's top law firms (Andrews & Kurth), and had a brief stint working in the Polk County District Clerk's Office. In 2011, she was hired by Attorney Travis Kitchens. Richards was Travis' top assistant from that time until she accepted the job as Polk County District Clerk. She's married to local business owner, Rocky Richards of Richards Auto Electric. Rocky is also one of Polk County's best volunteer firemen.
