Dominant Wildcats Own Regional Weekend; State Bound For San Antonio, JEWETT, March 6, 2016 - The Big Sandy Wildcats came into the Regionals being the favorites to win for a reason; to be straight forward, they made it look easy.  Now, the Wildcats find themselves going to San Antonio next weekend for the State Tournament in the Alamo Dome for the second straight year in a row.  This will be the 14th appearance in the State Tournament for the school of Big Sandy.  For most of the team, it will be their last high school basketball games of their lives, and maybe even any basketball game, period.  This team is literally unstoppable, because they work as a TEAM.  There’s really not one that outshines another, they get the job done and win the game together in unity. At the end of all 8 quarters, in both games in the Regional tournament, the Wildcats always had control, never got sloppy, and never let off the gas.

There is only one tournament left for the Big Sandy Wildcats.  Last year, they came up short by 8 points (68-60) against Canadian and the state title just barely slipped out of their hands.  Is this their year? Is this the time?  I’ll be there to see for myself!  It’s time to believe and have hope.  Congratulations Big Sandy!  Go Wildcats!
