Big Sandy Head Coach, Kevin Foster appears to have himself and the Wildcats physically and mentally prepared for a run deep into the playoffs.
Wildcats Route Pirates; Win Area Playoff Game, WODEN, February 26, 2016 - The Big Sandy Wildcats were down for a brief moment when the Martinsville Pirates hit a 3 out of the gate making the score 3-0.  The Wildcates promptly answered with a 3 of their own, and the route was on.  At the end of the 1st quarter, it was 9 points in the Wildcats favor 26-17.  Not a runaway... YET.  In the 2nd quarter, the Pirates only scored 6 points while the Wildcats surged ahead scoring 32 points making the game 58-23 at the half.  The gap got wider after halftime.  At the end of the 3rd quarter it was 86-36 (I was completly comfortable at this point).  Before the game was over the Wildcats had a 54 point lead for a moment.  The Final Score: Wildcats 101, Pirates 52.

Big Sandy didn't seem to let off the gas in this one (that's my humble opinion).  Overall, the team looked to be on top of their game for the entire night, and looked comfortable doing it making it look easy.  Head Coach Kevin Foster has done a phenominal job.  This is a well coached and disciplined team.  Next game will be vs the San Augustine Wolves, Tuesday, March 1, at 7pm, at Lufkin-Hudson High School.  This will be the Regional Quarter Final.  Go Wildcats!!!

The Wildcats gave their devoted fans a treat and made the trip to Woden well worth it.
