Speeder Pulled Over, Hauled In For Felony Warrant, LIVINGSTON, July 20, 2008 - A driver who chose to speed attracted the attention of Deputy James Romero of the Polk County Sheriff's Department and got hauled in when it was discovered he had a felony warrant out for his arrest. At approximately 12:30 pm on July 20, 2008 a black 1995 Dodge 4 X 4 driven by Brent Wells, 33, of Livingston, was driving down E. Capps Road at a high rate of speed when an Alert Deputy James Romero spotted the truck (with no license plate) and pulled the truck over. When Romero radioed in who it was dispatch was able to ascertain that Wells had an outstanding felony warrant out of Montgomery County. To make matters worse for Wells, the back of his truck had a load of copper wiring in the bed of the truck that appeared to have been hastily cut. This leads to the suspicion of copper theft (the situation is under investigation). In the meantime, Wells was taken to Polk County Jail where he was to be picked up by authorities from Montgomery County where he has other legal issues to reckon with. Wells' vehichle was towed by a rollback wrecker from LakeView Wrecker Service and will be stored at LakeView Paint & Body Shop in Livingston.
