Routine Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest of a Violent Fugitive, GOODRICH, April 16, 2008 - At approximately 4:30 pm on April 16, 2008, a wanted fugitive was arrested by Polk County Sheriff's Deputies Lieutenant Andy Lowrie and Sgt. Howard Smith.  The arrest occurred when a vehicle was pulled over with what appeared to have three occupants, one of the occupants was 35 year old Robert Earl Scheile.  Scheilie is wanted for violating the terms of his parole nearly two years ago.  Scheile had been in prison at Texas Department of Corrections before he was paroled.  According to records, Scheile has a record that includes burglary, assault of an officer of the law with intent to cause injury, and retaliation against an officer of the law.  After Lowrie and Smith had Scheile in cuffs, Deputy Jamie Johns was dispatched to the scene to transport Scheile to Polk County Jail.  After a search of the vehicle and the other two occupants, the other two people were free to drive away.
