Investigators continue to actively follow leads and have identified 42-year-old Don Steven McDougal (pictured below) of Livingston as one of the persons of interest involved in the disappearance of 11-year-old Audriii Cunningham. McDougal was arrested yesterday by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office on an unrelated charge of aggravated assault. Investigators believe that a dark blue 2003 Chevrolet Suburban, belonging to McDougal, was involved in the disappearance and is asking for the public’s help in reporting any sightings of the vehicle on Thursday or Friday. Also, yesterday a small backpack that likely belonged to a child was located near the Lake Livingston Dam. This investigation remains active and ongoing. Multiple Agencies Converge in San Jac County in Audrii Cunningham Case, BROWDER'S MARINA, February 16, 2024 - The Polk County Sheriff's Office, Livingston Police, Constables, The Texas Department of Public Safety, and the FBI are actively (at this time, 2:30 pm) have conjoined in San Jacinto County in the vicinity of Browder's Marina on the Trinity River in the investigation of Audrii Cunningham. At time of press, Audrii has not yet been located. Social media has unconfirmed, false rumors flying around regarding Cunningham.
