66 year old Joe Alan Jobe, of Tyler, was driving this 2007 Toyota RAV north on US-59 in Laurelia and rolled his vehicle.
Driver Rolls Vehicle, 2 Hospitalized, LAURELIA, December 30, 2019 - At approximately 12:30 pm on December 30, 2019, a blue 2007 Toyota Rav, driven by Joe Alan Jobe, 66, of Tyler, was north-bound on US-59. Jobe's vehicle left the pavement to the right, struck an embankment, went airborne, landed and rolled. Jobe's vehicle came to rest upright in the grass. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Chief Darrell Gibson and Officers Porter and Valka with Corrigan Police Department and Troopers Chris Cain, John Allen and Donny Akers with the Texas Highway Patrol. Jobe and his wife, Evelina, 60, were both transported by ambulance to a hospital in Lufkin. Preliminarily, it is believed that Jobe's blood pressure was dangerously high causing him to lose control of his faculties, thus leaving the pavement to the right. One lane of traffic was blocked during investigation and cleanup. Jobe's vehicle was recovered by Clifton Chevrolet out of Corrigan. This accident remains under investigation by the Texas Highway Patrol.

Jobe's wife, Evelina, 60, is tended to by emergency personnel.
