McAllister's truck came to rest on its side in the middle of FM-2665.
Christmas Eve Rollover Accident on FM-2665, LIVINGSTON, December 24, 2008 - Shortly after 10 pm on Decmeber 24, 2008 a tan 2006 Chevy Silverado driven by Christoper McAllister, 21, of Livingston was west-bound on FM-2665 when his truck left the road to the right and struck a culvert. McAllister over-corrected when he pulled his truck back onto the road and his truck rolled one and half times coming to rest on its side facing south. DPS Trooper Brent Henry was dispatched to the scene along with Polk County Sheriff's Deputy Vance Berry. Livingston Volunteer Fire Department Heavy Rescue Unit was also summoned. There was a heavy smell of alcohol coming from the truck. An EMS Crew from Americare Ambulance Service treated McAllister at the scene and transported him to Livingston Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. All traffic on 2665 was blocked as the accident was being investigated and cleared. McAllister will be issued a citation for unsafe speed and pending toxicology reports could be issued a citation for driving while intoxicated. McAllister did have his seatbelt fastened and did have insurance. A rollback wrecker from Ken's towing recovered McAllister's vehicle and it will be stored at Harrison's Body Shop in downtown Livingston. The scene was cleared and traffic fully flowing by 10:43 pm.
Christopher McAllister was transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital.
