Driver Allegedly Runs Red Light, Causes Accident, LIVINGSTON, December 23, 2012 - Shortly after 10 pm on December 22, 2012, a gray Dodge Dart driven by Christopher Hatton, 28, of Livingston, was west-bound on Church Street in Livingston. According to a witness, as Hatton approached the intersection of Washington and Church (courthouse square), he ran a red light and slammed into a north-bound maroon Ford F-150 driven by Joe Jackson (north-bound on Washington), also of Livingston. The collision left both vehicles partially blocking the intersection. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department and Sergeant Darrell Newman with the Livngston Police Department. Newman was joined by Officers Kaleb Barker and Dallas Early. Hatton and Jackson were physically okay, but one of Jackson's passengers were treated at the scene and transported by ambulance to Livingston Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Traffic remained partially blocked during investigation and cleanup. Seargant Newman, cited Christopher Hatton for running the red light. A rollback wrecker from Harwood Wrecker Service recovered Hatton's vehicle while Jackson's vehicle was recovered by a rollback from Ken's Towing. Both vehicles will be stored at Bounds Autoplex in Livingston.
Joe Jackson's Ford F-150 had damage to the passengers side where the truck was impacted.
A passenger from Jackson's vehicle is treated at the scene (and was transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital).
Seargant Darrell Newman cited Hatton for running a red light.
Jackson's vehicle was recovered by Ken's Towing (Ken being assisted by Big Jim Harwood wearing yellow jacket).
Hatton's vehicle was recovered by Big Jim Harwood.
