Driver Slams Into Tree, 2 Hospitalized, PROVIDENCE, December 14, 2025 - At approximately 6:30 pm on December 14, 2025, a silver 2020 Kia Sorento, driven by Taylor Lewing, 25, of Livingson, was south-bound on Mill Gate Road (just off Tom Cummings Road). Lewing allegedly entered a curve going too fast and left the unpaved road to the right. Lewing's vehicle turned over and slammed into a large pine tree. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Deputies from The Polk County Sheriff's Office, and Trooper Simon Mijares with The Texas Highway Patrol. Lewing and her infant daughter were both hospitalized. The baby was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while Lewing was transported by ambulance Kingwood (also with non-life-threatening injuries). Lewing is facing a citation for unsafe speed. Her vehicle was recovered by Ken's Towing out of Livingston.
