Leigha Patterson's 2009 Toyota Corolla was totaled when she was slammed from behind by a pickup. The only injury she sustained was a bloody lip.
Pickup Slams Car from Behind, Livingston, December 12, 2013 - At approximately 6:40 am on December 12, 2013, a blue 2009 Toyota Corolla driven by Leigha Patterson, 19, of Livingston, was south-bound on US-59. Patterson had just turned out of the parking lot of the Timberwood Nursing home and was over 300 feed down the road when she was suddenly slammed from behind by a black 2013 Ford F-150 pickup driven by Luke Redd, 21, of Lufkin. Redd was also south-bound and failed to notice Patterson's vehicle in front of his. The collision sent Patterson' off the pavement and into the driveway of Hendrix Machinery. Redd pulled over to the shoulder. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Corporal Ramey Bass, Trooper Donny Akers, and Sergeant Nita Bowen (all with the Texas Highway Patrol). In spite of the horrific crash, Leigha Patterson only sustained a bloody lip from the collision and Luke Redd was uninjured. According to Corporal Bass, Redd was cited for failure to control speed. A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing recovered Patterson's Vehicle and it will be stored at Pollock's Body Shop in Livingston, while Redd's vehicle was recovered by LakeView Wrecker and will be stored in Livingston.
21 year old Luke Redd of Lufkin was driving this 2013 Ford F-150 when he slammed Patterson from behind.
Patterson's vehicle was recovered by Ken's Towing.
