Double Fatal Accident, ALABAMA COUSHATTA COUNTRY, December 12, 2021 - At approximately 3:40 am on December 12, 2021, a 2003 Ford Explorer, driven by Latina Tate, 52, of Big Spring, was west-bound on US-190 East. Tate's vehicle suddenly had a glancing head on collision with a 2021 Kia Forte', driven by Cassie Battise, 34, of Livingston. Battise's vehicle had veered to the left and crossed the center line causing the collision. Both vehicles left the pavement and went into the grass. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Alabama Coushatta Volunteer Fire Department, Alabama Coushatta Police Department, and Trooper Johnny Wilkerson with the Texas Highway Patrol. Sadly, both Tate and Battise were killed on impact. Justice of the Peace, Sarah Rasberry performed inquests at the scene. Both victims were transported from the scene by Cochran Funeral Home. Tate's vehicle was recovered by Fawbush Wrecker Service and will be stored in Goodrich. Battise's vehicle was recovered by LakeView Wrecker Service and will be stored in Livingston.

The accident occurred near the Alabama Coushatta Reservation.
34 year old Cassie Battise, of Livingston, was driving this 2021 Kia Forte' east on 190 when she crossed the center line causing the fatal collision.
