Single Vehicle Accident Hospitalizes Mother and 2 Children, BLANCHARD, December 12, 2014 - Shortly before 5 pm on December 11, 2014, an older model blue Oldsmobile Cutlass Cierra driven by Brenda Lynette Brisden, 28, of Livingston, was traveling southwest on Rainey Road (off Mangum Road) when for some reason, her vehicle left the unpaved road to the left and struck a tree. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Scenic Loop Volunteer Fire Department, Corporal Mark Dubose with the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Corporal Ramey Bass with the Texas Highway Patrol. Brisden and her two small children received serious injuries and were transported to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital by amblulance. According to accident investigator, Corporal Bass, Brisden was driving with an invalid driver's license. The accident remains under investigation. A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing recovered Brisden's vehicle and it will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston.
