Corbett Workman's 1999 Chevy Truck slammed into the guard rail after being hit by Richard Nobles' vehicle.
3 Vehicle Accident Hospitalizes 1, SPRING CREEK, December 10, 2010 - At approximately 6:05 pm on December 10, 2010, Corbett Workman, 66, of Point Blank, was west-bound on US-190 West near Forest Hills Loop when a east-bound red 2002 Dodge Ram Truck driven by Richard Nobles suddenly swerved into Workman's lane. The two trucks slammed into each other's driver's side, another east bound vehicle (a blue 2011 Chevy Equinox driven by Trinidad Garcia, 67, of Livingston clipped Workman's vehicle. Nobles' red Dodge left the road and went into the grass on the west bound side of 190, Workman's Chevy truck slammed into guardrail on the east-bound side, and Garcia's car came to rest in the east-bound lane. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with deputies from the Polk County Sheriff's Office, and DPS Troopers Kevin Burman, Darwon Evans, and Rocky Thigpen. Corbett Workman was treated at the scene by EMS personnel and transported by ambulance to Livingston Memorial Hospital with head injuries. Nobody else appeared to be injured. Traffic was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup. All parties had insurance. Richard Nobles was cited for driving on wrong side of road not passing and could be facing a DWI. According to the Department of Public Safety, there was a smell of alcohol coming from Nobles and he did admit to have drinking prior to the accident. Nobles was driven to Livingston Memorial Hospital for a mandatory blood withdrawal. Nobles' vehicle was recovered by a rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing and will be stored in Onalaska. Corbett's vehicle was recovered by a rollback wrecker from George White & Sons towing and it will be stored in Onalaska. Garcia's vehicle was recovered by a rollback wrecker from Harwood Wrecker Service and it will be stored at Bounds Autoplex in Livingston.
