Officer Donald Dyson, with Livingston PD, places 31 year old Lanel Edward Hudson, of Livingston, under arrest.

Driver Crashes Into Bridge Guardrail, Arrested for DWI, LIVINGSTON, December 7, 2020 - At approximately 6:10 pm on December 7, 2020, a red 2001 GMC Sierra pickup, driven by Lanel Edward Hudson, 31, of Livingston, was south-bound on South Houston (US-146). According to Hudson, a vehicle was coming toward him in his lane. Hudson veered right, left his lane to the right and slammed into the concrete guardrail of the Choates Creek Bridge. Officers with Livingston Police Department were dispatched to the scene. Fortunately, there were no injuries, however, Hudson was charged with driving while intoxicated, violate driver's license restrictions, no insurance, fail to maintain a single lane of traffic, and possession of marijuana. Following a field sobriety test, Hudson was arrested and transported to Polk County Jail. His vehicle was recovered by Ken's Towing and will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston.
