A passenger is treated and transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital.
Lunchtime Accident on FM-2457, LIVINGSTON, December 3, 2008 - At approximately 12:05 in the afternoon on December 3, 2008, a green 2001 Ford F-150 driven by Ann Knight, 69, of Livingston was north-bound on FM-2457 when a red, 2002 Mazda B-3000 truck driven by Clifford William Pearson, 50, of Trinity was south-bound on 2457 and attempted to make a left turn into the parking lot of Nell's Kitchen (across the street from the Corner Shell).  Pearson pulled directly in front of Knight and a collision occurred.  The collision spun Pearson's truck around so that it was facing west and partially in the parking lot of Nell's.  Polk County Sheriff's Deputy Mark DuBose was dispatched to the scene and a crew from Americare Ambulance Service.  Additionally, DPS Trooper David Morris was dispatched to the accident.  Pearson had a passenger who was transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital with no life-threatening injuries.  Traffic was not blocked as the accident was being cleared and investigated.  Both drivers had insurance.  Pearson was issued a citation for failure to yield right-of-way, and a citation for an expired inspection sticker.  A wrecker from Harwood Wrecker Service towed Pearson's vehicle and it will be stored at Harwood Wrecker Service in Livingston while Knight's vehicle was towed by Ken's Towing and it'll be stored at Harrison's Body Shop in Livingston.  The scene was cleared in just a little over an hour.
Clifford William Pearson (right) is questioned
Pearson's truck sustained heavy rear-end damage.
Knight's dark green Ford sustained moderate front end damage.
