Accident on FM-350 North, LIVINGSTON, December 2, 2009 - At approximately 8:20 pm on December 2, 2009, a black 2003 Ford F-150 Lariat driven by John Fenter, 83, of Livingston, north-bound on FM-350 North. Fenter attempted to make a left turn onto Pine Valley when the front driver's side of his truck was struck by a red 1987 Toyota 4-Runner driven by a 16 year old Livingston female. The accident occurred when the other driver was also north-bound on FM-350 and was attempting to pass three vehicles in a no passing zone. As the vehicle was passing, Fenter attempted his left turn right into the path of the passing 16 year old. The impact immobilized Fenter's truck while the other vehicle glanced off of Fenter's truck and spun out in the grass on the left side of the road. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with DPS Trooper Ramey Bass. The north-bound lane of FM-350 was blocked during investigation and cleanup. Fenter was checked by EMS Personnel from Americare. Fortunately, nobody was seriously injured Both parties had insurance. The teen driver was issued a citation for driving wrong side - no passing zone. A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing recovered Fenter's vehicle and it will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston. The scene was cleared by 9:40 pm.
