First responders from Polk and Angelina Counties surround 19 year old Mackenzie Lynn Winkley, of Mena, Arkansas, after Winkley fell asleep at the wheel and rolled her vehicle near Goat Hill Road.
Rollover Accident with Entrapment, NORTH POLK COUNTY, November 29, 2019 - At approximately 9:10 pm on November 29, 2019, a red 2000 Ford Escape, driven by Mackenzie Lynn Winkley, 19, of Mena, Arkansas, was south-bound on US-59 in the vicinity of Goat Hill Road. Winkley was on her way to Alvin (from Mena) and fell asleep at the wheel. Her vehicle left the pavement to the right, rolled, and came to rest upright at the woodline. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Corrigan and Diboll Volunteer Fire Departments, Corrigan Police Department and Trooper John Allen with the Texas Highway Patrol (Allen was assisted by Troopers from Angelina County). During the rollover, Winkley's doors were jammed and she was trapped. Firemen used the Jaws-of-Life to cut the roof off of Winkley's vehicle. Winkley was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Traffic was not blocked during investigation and cleanup. Winkley's vehicle was recovered by Riley Wrecker Service out of Corrigan.

Volunteer Firemen from Corrigan and Diboll cut the roof off of Winkley's vehicle in order to get her safely out of her car. The vehicle's doors jammed during the rollover accident.
A distraught Mackenzie Winkley was slowly and carefully removed from her vehicle.
Winkley was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital.
Winkley's 2000 Ford Escape was totaled. Her vehicle was recovered by Riley Wrecker Service out of Corrigan.
