Pickup VS Tractor, 1 Person Flown, PLUCK, November 27, 2023 - Shortly before 7 am on November 27, 2023, a tan 2017 Chevy pickup, driven by Destin Parker, 30, of Prong, Louisiana was west-bound on US-287 East. As prong topped a hill near FM-352, he slammed into a west-bound tractor driven by William Fisher, 83, of Corrigan. According to a report, Fisher just pulled onto 287 in the direct path of Parker's vehicle. The impact caused both vehciles to leave the road as both were totaled. Parker was physically okay, Fisher sustained serious injuries. Troopers Corporal Ramey Bass and Cotye Lowrie with the Texas Highway Patrol were dispatched to the scene. Fisher was flown by medical helicopter to Conroe. Both vehicles were recovered by Clifton Chevrolet out of Corrigan. Fisher is probably facing a citation for the accident. This accident remains under investigation by the Texas Highway Patrol.
