Trooper Allen Stanton (center) places 65 year old Donald Wayne Dixon, of Livingston, under arrest for driving while intoxicated.

Driver Crashes Car, Charged With DWI, LAKE LIVINGSTON STATE PARK, November 27, 2020 - At approximately 3:30 pm on November 27, 2020, a silver 1998 Mercury Marquise driven by Donald Wayne Dixon, 65, of Livingston, was north-bound on FM-3126 (next to the state park). Dixon appeared to have taken a curve too fast and left the pavement to the left and slid sideways (driver's side rear) into a tree. Dixon's vehicle then spun around facing east in the drainage area. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Trooper Allen Stanton with the Texas Highway Patrol. Stanton was assisted by Park Police and Polk County Sheriff's Deputies. Fortunately, Dixon wasn't injured. Dixon was however, allegedly intoxicated. Dixon was placed under arrest and charged with driving while intoxicated and fail to maintain a single lane of traffic. His vehicle was recovered by Dan's Towing of Livingston.
