Path to destruction: Tire marks lead to Jesus Gutierrez's 2002 Ford F-250.
2 Hospitalized in Rollover Accident on 1988 West, LIVINGSTON, November 23, 2010 - At approximately 11:25 am on November 23, 2010, a white 2002 Ford F-250 driven by Jesus Gutierrez,44, of Pearland, was west-bound on FM-1988 West. Gutierrez apparently entered a curve too fast for the slick road that had been rained on and lost control leaving the road to the right. Gutierrez's vehicle rolled and came to rest on its side. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department Heavy Rescue Unit and DPS Troopers Ramey Bass and Corporal Sam Lattner. Gutierrez and his son were treated at the scene and transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Traffic was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup. A wrecker from Harwood Wrecker Service recovered Gutierrez's vehicle and it will be stored at 101 Harwood Drive in Livingston. According to Trooper Bass, the accident is still under investigation, but Gutierrez could be cited for unsafe speed. The scene was cleared by 12:30 pm.
