Motorcycle Crash, Driver Hospitalized, MOSCOW, November 22, 2020 - At approximately 2:20 pm on November 22, 2020, a red Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by Gary Hooks, 51, of Longview, was east-bound on FM-350 (about 6 miles off US-59).  As Hooks entered a curve, he was apparently traveling too fast and instead of curving, he continued straight off the pavement to the left and crashed into a storm drainage area at Meadow Creek.  Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Corporal Ramey Bass with the Texas Highway Patrol.  During the crash, Hooks was ejected from his motorcycle.  Hooks was wearing a helmet.  According to a witness who saw the accident, she found Hooks laying face down on large rocks in the drainage area.  Hooks was helped to his feed and amazingly was able to walk under his own power.  He was helped into and ambulance and transported to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.  Hooks' motorcycle was recovered by Riley Wrecker Service out of Corrigan.  No citations have been issued as this accident remains under investigation by the Texas Highway Patrol.
