Multiple Roll Over Accident Hospitalizes Elderly Man, SOUTH POLK COUNTY, November 16, 2011 - Shortly before 2pm on November 16, 2011, a roll over accident occurred in South Polk County about 2 miles south of FM 2610 on US-146. A black 1991 Jeep Cherokee driven by Virgil Bouchillon, 79, of Ace, was south bound on US-146 when he left the road to the right, struck a culvert, went airborne, and rolled his vehicle two and a half times. Bouchillon's vehicle came to rest on its side in front of an Eastex Telephone Sub Station. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene, along with the South Polk County Volunteer Fire Department, a Deputy from the Polk County Sheriff's Office, and Trooper Ramey Bass with the Texas Highway Patrol. Emergency personnel were able to get Bouchillon out of the wreckage, and loaded onto an Americare Ambulance. One lane of traffic was blocked during investigation and clean up. Bouchillon was taken to Livingston Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. Bouchillon did have insurance. According to Trooper Bass, no citations have been issued as the wreck is still under investigation. A rollback wrecker from Harwood Wrecker Service recovered Bouchillon's vehicle and it will be stored at 101 Harwood Drive in Livingston. The scene was cleared by 3pm.

Bouchillon was loaded onto an Americare Ambulance and rushed to Livingston Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
