Driver David Garcia's 2012 North Trail travel trailer was damaged by a deer that jumped from a ditch and crashed through the back wall.
Watch for.....Flying Deer?, BARNUM LOOP, November 16, 2015 - Shortly after 6 pm on November 15, 2015, David Garcia, 28, of Athens, was east-bound on FM-287 near Barnum Loop. Garcia was pulling a 2012 North Trail travel trailer when a deer (buck) jumped from a ditch and crashed into the back of his travel trailer. The deer was killed on impact and came to rest laying neatly on its side in the back of the Garcia's travel trailer (see picture below of deer). Trooper Chad Seamans with the Texas Highway Patrol was dispatched to investigate. An accident report was conducted. Fortunately, nobody (other than the deer) was hurt. Garcia's travel trailer sustained damage, but he was able to drive it from the scene. The deer was disposed of.
The impact killed the deer that landed in the back of Garcia's travel trailer where it came to rest.
