Driver Passes Away from Injuries in 4 Wheeler Accident, CONROE, November 10, 2012 - A 4 wheeler accident that occurred on Hubert Cemetery road on November 8th took a turn for the worse when the accident victim, 53 year old Mike Nichols, of New Caney passed away in a hospital in Conroe. Nichols was involved in an accident in the wee hours of the morning on November 8th and sustained major head injuries when his 4 wheeler left the road and struck a pine tree. He passed shortly after 7 pm the next day.

Man In Critical Condition from 4 Wheeler Crash, Alcohol Suspected, TYLER COUNTY, November 8, 2012 - At approximately 6 am on November 8, 2012, a passer by came upon a 4 wheeler accident that happened approximately 100 yards from the East Polk County Line. The passer by found the accident victim unresponsive and ejected from his red Honda Foreman ES 4 wheeler. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Trooper David Flowers and Sergeant Nita Bowen (both with the Texas Highway Patrol). An investigation at the scene suggests that the driver of the 4 Wheeler, Mike Nichols, 53, of New Caney, was north-bound on Hubert Cemetery Road between the hours of 4 am and 6 am when he entered a curve too fast on the unpaved road. Nichols apparently lost control of his 4 wheeler and left the road to the right and struck a pine tree. Nichols was flown to Hermann Hospital in Houston where he was reported to be in extreme critical condition. According to witnesses, Nichols had been drinking throughout much of the night prior to the early morning accident. At time of press, Mike Nichols remains in extreme critical conditon.
