18 Wheelers Collide on Overpass, LIVINGSTON, November 7, 2024 - At approximately 11:24 am on November 7, 2024, the driver of an 18 wheeler was north-bound on US-59 on the overpass at the north end of Livingston. The driver was hauling pipes when he was slammed from behind by another 18 wheeler that was loaded with logs (a logging truck). The impact caused the pipes to rip into the logging truck's engine compartment and ALMOST into the cab. The driver of the logging truck was able to get out of his cab under his own power. There appeared to be no serious injuries. Livingston Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the scene along with Deputies and Sheriff Byron Lyons and Officers from Livingston Police Department. The north-bound lane was completely blocked and rerouted hours as the mess was/is being cleaned up. That's all the information that we have.
