Zachery Parker's 2018 Chevy Pickup came to rest in the center median.
Vehicles Collide, 1 Person Hospitalized, GOODRICH, November 7, 2020 - At approximately 7 pm on November 7, 2020, a silver 2018 Chevy pickup, driven by Zachary Parker, 24, of Lufkin, was north-bound on US-59 (about a mile south of the Goodrich Truckstop) when a red 1998 Mazda B2500 pickup, driven by Jason Roberts, 40, of Livingston, pulled directly in front of Parker from the crossover from the south-bound side of 59. Parker's vehicle collided with Roberts' vehicle. Parker's vehicle left the pavement to the left and came to rest in the center median. Roberts' vehicle turned over, slid, and came to rest back upright to the right pavement of the north-bound side. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Troopers Nick Hatton and Allen Stanton with the Texas Highway Patrol. Roberts was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with what appeared to be a possible broken leg. Parker was physically okay. Traffic was not blocked during investigation and cleanup. Roberts was cited for failure to yield and driving while license invalid. Parker's vehicle was recovered by Ken's Towing and will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston. Roberts' vehicle was recovered by LakeView Wrecker and will be stored in Livingston.
