Single Vehicle Crash Takes Life of Kingwood Man, LAURELIA, November 7, 2019 - At approximately 3:20 am on November 7, 2019, a gray 2016 Ford Focus, driven by Nathaniel Scott Wilson, Jr., 26, of Kingwood, was north-bound on US-59. Wilson's vehicle left the pavement to the left, he over corrected right, crossed the pavement, then exited the road and rolled. Wilson's vehicle slammed into a large pine tree roof first at the north end of Laurelia Loop. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Sergeant Adam Norris with the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Corporal Ramey Bass with the Texas Highway Patrol. Sadly, Wilson was killed on impact. Alcohol is suspected as a bottle of vodka was pulled from the wreckage. Justice of the Peace, Jamie Jones performed an inquest at the scene and ordered an autopsy. Wilson was transported from the scene by Corrigan Funeral Home. His vehicle was recovered by Riley Wrecker Service out of Corrigan.
