Driver Rolls SUV, Flown to Houston, LIVINGSTON, November 6, 2012 - Shortly before 10 am on November 6, 2012, a silver 2008 Chevy Equionox driven by Michael Darden, 51, of Livingston, was south-bound on FM-3126 near Lakewood Drive. For some reason, Darden left the road to the left, then overcorrected to the right, and left the pavement on the west side. Darden's vehicle rolled, ejecting Darden in the process. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Scenic Loop Volunteer Fire Department, and Trooper Chad Seamans with the Texas Highway Patrol. Darden was initially unresponsive. Emergency personnel treated Darden at the scene and transported him to Livingston Airport where he was loaded onto a PHi Air Medical Helicopter and flown to Hermann Hospital in Houston. Traffic was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup. According to Trooper Seamans, the accident remains under investigation. Darden could be facing charges. A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing recovered Darden's vehicle and it will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston. The scene was cleared shortly before 12 noon.
