Food Truck and Pickup Crash, LIVINGSTON, October 31, 2024 - Shortly after 10 am on October 31, 2024, a tan 2005 Ford pickup, driven by Pascual Flores Gonzalez, 62, of Goodrich, was south-bound on FM-350 South when he was suddenly side swiped by a large food truck. The food truck was north-bound and for some reason (driver probably distracted) left the pavement to the right, then over corrected left and entered the south-bound lane narrowly missing a direct head on collision with Gonzalez. The Food truck, driven by Shawn David Christiansen, 50, of Montgomery, scraped down the side of Gonzalez's pickup. Both vehicles went into the ditch on the south-bound side of 350 just south of US-190 West. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with The Livingston Volunteer Fire Department and officers from the Livingston Police Department. Officer Scott Paske is investigating the accident and was assisted by other officers and detectives from LPD. Gonzalez was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed but non-life-threatening injuries. Christiansen was physically okay. One lane of traffic was blocked during investigation and cleanup. Christiansen is facing a citation for failure to maintain a single marked lane of traffic. Gonzalez's vehicle was recovered by Kwik Tow out of Livingston. A heavy-duty wrecker was sent for to recover the food truck.
