39 year old Shari Hendry, of Livingston, was loaded into an ambulance and transported to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital.
Car Slammed From Behind, 1 Hospitalized, LIVINGSTON, October 31, 2016 - At approximately 6:10 am on October 31, 2016, a silver 2008 Ford Mustang, driven by Shari Hendry, 39, of Livingston, was north-bound on FM-350 South (next to Polunsky Prison Unit). Hendry (a prison worker) attempted a left turn into the entrance of the prison and was slammed from behind by a silver 2014 Ford Focus, driven by Lorissa D. Ann Estlinbaum, 19, of Livingston. Hendry's vehicle came to rest on the right side of the pavement while Estlinbaum's vehicle came to rest in the ditch on the same side of the road. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Corporal Jacob Chapman with the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Trooper Nick Hatton with the Texas Highway Patrol. Prison personnel came and assisted Hendry. Hendry was loaded into an ambulance and transported to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries. Estlinbaum appeared to be physically okay, but was transported to CHI for precautionary reasons. Traffic on 350 was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup. Estlinbaum was cited for failure to control speed. A rollback wrecker from Fawbush Body Shop recovered Hendry's vehicle and it will be stored in Goodrich. Estlinbaum's vehicle was recovered by LakeView Wrecker and will be stored in Livingston.
