Single Vehicle Accident Takes Life of Indian Springs Man, LIVINGSTON, October 30, 2008 - Shortly after 11 am on October 30, 2008, a blue 1996 Ford Van driven by Joseph H. Stetler, 46, of Indian Springs, was east-bound on US-190 East near Neel Road when his van left the road to the right and rolled multiple times. Stetler was ejected and the van landed upright and continued to roll and came to rest in the front yard of Mr. Charles Bauer. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene. In addition DPS Troopers Sam Lattner, Kevin Burman, and Darwon Evans were dispatched to the scene. Stetler was transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital and then Life Flighted to Hermann Hospital in Houston where he died a short time later. The cause of the accident is still under investigation. Statler's van was towed by a rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing and will be stored at Harrison's Body Shop in Livingston.
