Two Young Women Hospitalized (one by Life Flight) in Car Accident, LIVINGSTON, October 29, 2009 - At approximately 12:55 pm on October 29, 2009, a silver 2008 Ford Fusion driven by Jessica Moore, 23, of Livingston was north-bound on US-146 near the Davis Woods Subdivision when her car hit water that was topping over the road. Moore's vehicle hydroplaned and veered to the right side of 146, struck a culvert and rolled. The vehicle slammed into a tree crushing the front half of the roof and windshield. Americare Ambulance Service and the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to the scene along with DPS Troopers Darwon Evans, Ramey Bass, and Kevin Burman. Jessica Moore was transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries while her passenger, Katy Moore, 18, of Livingston sustained a major leg injury and was transported to Hermann Hospital in Houston via Life Flight Helicopter. Traffic was not blocked during investigation and cleanup. Jessica Moore received a citation for unsafe speed. Insurance was unconfirmed. Moore's vehicle was recovered by a wrecker from Bounds Autoplex. The scene was cleared by 2:30 pm.
