Vehicle Waiting for School Bus Gets Slammed From Behind, 1 Hospitalized, LIVINGSTON, October 25, 2017 - Shortly after 6 am on October 25, 2017, a gray, 2005 Ford F-150, driven by Dustin Lowery, 29, of Livingston, was north-bound on US-59.  Lowery was stopped for a school bus just south of Loop 116 (south end) when he was slammed from behind by a white 2015 Dodge Ram 4500 driven by James Folsom, 27, of Cleveland.  The impact of Folsom's heavy truck knocked Lowery's pickup approximately 200 feet further (both vehicles came to rest in the left lane).  Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Corporal Ramey Bass and Troopers Donny Akers and John Allen, all with the Texas Highway Patrol.  Lowery sustained injuries and was transported to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital by ambulance.  Folsom wasn't injured but was cited for failure to stop for school bus.  A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing recovered Lowery's vehicle and it will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston.  Folsom's vehicle was recovered by a rollback wrecker from LakeView Wrecker and will be stored in Livingston.
