Ashley Pierce's 2000 Ford Expedition came to rest upright after rolling 2 times.
20 Year Old Girl Distracted by Cell Phone Rolls Vehicle, NORTH POLK COUNTY, October 25, 2010 - At approximately 8 am on October 25, 2010, a green 2008 Ford Expedition driven by Ashley Pierce, 20, of Huffman, was north-bound on US-59 about 2 miles from the County Line (north of Corrigan), when she was allegedly distracted by her cell phone and left the road to the left, went through the grassy median crossed the south-bound lanes of 59 and came to rest on the south-bound side of 59 in the grass. During the process her vehicle rolled 2 times and came to rest upright. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Deputy David Ramsey of the Polk County Sheriff's Office and DPS Troopers Kevin Burman, and Corporal Sam Lattner. EMS personnel treated Pierce at the scene and released her. Traffic was not blocked during investigation and cleanup. Pierce did have insurance. No citations were issued at this point. A rollback wrecker from Riley Wrecker Service recovered Pierce's vehicle and it will be stored in Corrigan. The scene was cleared shortly before 9 am.

After being released by EMS personnel, 20 year old Ashley Pierce immediately got on her cell phone.
Vehicle Recovery Specialist James Riley recovered Pierce's vehicle.
