Driver and Passenger Hospitalized After Failing to Yield, LIVINGSTON, October 24, 2021 - At approximately 4:40 pm on October 23, 2021, a black 2008 Ford Expedition, driven by William Morris, 64, of Porter, was south-bound on Pan American Drive. As Morris approached the intersection of FM-1988 South (next to Thomas Supply), a red 2005 Ford Mustang, driven by Jonathan Pablo, 18, of Moscow pulled off of 1988 directly in front of Morris. Morris' vehicle T-boned Pablo's vehicle and knocked it into the grass. Morris' vehicle came to rest partially on the pavement. Allegiance and Texan EMS Ambulance Services were dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department, and Trooper Cotye Lowrie and Johnny Wilkerson with the Texas Highway Patrol. Pablo was pinned in his vehicle as his door was crunched in from the impact. Volunteer Firemen used the Jaws-of-Life to cut the door off of Pablo's vehicle. Both Pablo and his female passenger were transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries. Morris was physically okay. Pablo is facing a citation for failure to yield. Morris' vehicle was recovered by Dan's Towing, while Pablo's vehicle was recovered by All Star Towing. Both vehicles will be stored in Livingston.
