55 year old Keith Puckett, of Livingston, crashed his 2007 Ford F-150 through this fence in the 8098 block of US-146 South.
Medical Problems Believed to be Reason for Crash That Hospitalized 1, LIVINGSTON, October 20, 2015 - At approximately 8:04 am on October 20, 2015, a blue 2007 Ford F-150 was south-bound on US-146. The driver, Keith Puckett, 55, of Livingston, is believed to have a medical condition that caused him to leave the pavement to the right, crash through a residential fence, and slam into a large pin oak tree. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with deputies from the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Troopers Darwon Evans and Ashlee McBride with the Texas Highway Patrol. Puckett was trapped in his vehicle. Livingston Volunteer Fire Department Heavy Rescue Unit was summoned and used the Jaws-of-Life to pry open and cut the door off Puckett's pickup to gain access. Puckett was carefully removed and transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries. Traffic on 146 was not blocked during investigation and cleanup. The accident remains under investigation by the Texas Highway Patrol. A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing recovered Puckett's vehicle and it will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston.
Sheriff's Deputies attempt to pry Puckett's door open before firemen arrived.
When firemen arrived with the Jaws-of-Life, they were able to get the jammed door off.
Puckett was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries.
Trooper Darwon Evans is the accident investigator.
Puckett's vehicle was recovered by Ken's Towing.
