31 year old Andrew Holt, of Livingston, was driving this 2011 Chevy Silverado pickup when he pulled off of Old Providence onto US-146, but failed to yield to an oncoming south-bound vehicle.
Collision Sends Livingston Woman to Hospital, PROVIDENCE, October 14, 2022 - At approximately 12 noon on October 14, 2022, a gray 2021 Toyota Highlander, driven by Donna Soto, 55, of Livingston, was south-bound on US-146. As Soto was about to pass Old Providence Road, a black 2011 Chevy Silverado pickup, driven by Andrew Holt, 31, of Livingston, pulled off of Old Providence Road and failed to yield to Soto. The vehicles collided. The impact knocked Holt's vehicle into the weeds while Soto's vehicle came to rest on the pavement. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department, Deputies Keagan Newman, Byron Dunaway, and Sergeant Adam Norris with the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Trooper Johnny Wilkerson with the Texas Highway Patrol. Soto was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries. Holt was physically okay. Traffic on 146 was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup. Holt was cited for failing to yield to Soto. Both vehicles were recovered by Ken's Towing and will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston.
