Trooper Kevin Burman assists EMS personnel with passenger, 27 year old Summer Frances Wood, of Farmington, Illinois.
Another Wreck by the Corner Shell, LIVINGSTON, October 13, 2018 - At approximately 8:25 pm on October 13, 2018, a white 2004 Dodge Caravan, driven by Derick A. Prince, of Farmington, Illinois, was east-bound on US-190 West.  As Prince was passing the Corner Shell station (190 at FM-2457), a white 1991 Cadillac Seville, driven by Danny Robert Gourley, III, of Cleveland, attempted to crossover from the west-bound side of 190 to FM-2457.  Gourley failed to yield to Prince.  Prince's vehicle slammed into Gourley's vehicle.  The impact spun Gourley's vehicle around while Prince's vehicle left the pavement to the right and entered the grassy median.  Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Sergeant Adam Norris, and Deputy R.W. Thomas with the Polk County Sheriff's Office, and Trooper Kevin Burman with the Texas Highway Patrol.  Prince and his passenger (27 year old Summer Frances Wood) were transported to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital by ambulance.  Gourley was physically okay.  Traffic on the east-bound side of 190 was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup.  Gourley was cited for failure to yield right-of-way, no insurance, and driving with an invalid driver's license.  Gourley's vehicle was recovered by All Star Wrecker Service and will be stored in Livingston.  Prince's vehicle was recovered by LakeView Wrecker and will be stored in Livingston.
