Paul McClendon's airbag deployed.
Truck Rear-Ends Truck on US-190 East, LIVINGSTON, October 13, 2009 - At approximately 6:54 pm on October 13, 2009, Jason Weiss, 29, of Livingston was waiting in his red Dodge truck to make a left turn from the east-bound lanes of US-190 East into the Countrywood Subdivision.  Weiss was rear-ended by a silver 2005 Ford F-150 driven by Paul McClendon, 27, of Livingston.  The impact caused mild damage to Weiss' vehicle while McClendon's vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage and may be totaled.  Polk County Sheriff's Deputy Billy Duke was dispatched to the scene along with DPS Troopers Chris Stanbery and Brent Murray.  The east-bound lanes of traffic was re-routed to the shoulder as the accident was being investigated and cleared.  Fortunately, nobody was injured in the accident.  Both drivers received citations for no insurance, and McClendon received an additional citation for failure to control speed.  A rollback wrecker from LakeView Wrecker Service recovered McClendon's vehicle.  Weiss' vehicle was still drivable.  The scene was cleared and traffic fully flowing by 7:45 pm.

A special thank you to Ken from Ken's Towing.
