David Wood's 86 year old passenger (his dad) was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries.
Accident Hospitalizes 1, LIVINGSTON, October 12, 2015 - Shortly after 1 pm on October 12, 2015, a gold 2003 Cadillac CTS driven by David Wood, 55, of Livingston, was east-bound on US-190 West. As Wood was passing the Corner Shell he suddenly swerved to avoid a green Chevy Sonic driven by Cne Taylor, 19, of Onalaska. Taylor attempted to cross over from the west-bound side of 190 and failed to yield to Wood. Wood's vehicle left the pavement to the right. He over corrected left, crossed back over the east-bound lanes, left the pavement to the left and turned over. Wood's vehicle came to rest upside down in the median. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Troopers Kevin Burman, Chris Cain, and Darwon Evans. Wood was physically okay, but his dad (86 years old) was transported to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries. One lane of traffic on the east-bound side of 190 was blocked during investigation and cleanup. Trooper Burman cited Taylor for failure to yield right of way. A rollback wrecker from Fawbush Wrecker Service recovered Wood's vehicle and it will be stored in Goodrich.
