Outlaw Bend Road at Holley Grove Cemetery Road on Wednesday afternoon (10/10/18)
Youth Rolls 4 Wheeler, Flown to Conroe, BIG SANDY, October 10, 2018 - Shortly before 4 pm on October 10, 2018, a Polaris Ranger four wheel utility vehicle, driven by a 15 year old Big Sandy male was west-bound on Holly Grove Cemetery Road. The youngster attempted a left turn onto Outlaw Pass Road but allegedly went into the turn too fast and turned over his four wheeler. The vehicle turned over on top of the youth. Locals came to his rescue along with the Segno and South Polk County Volunteer Fire Departments, Americare Ambulance Service and Troopers Zach Lenderman and Chris Cain with the Texas Highway Patrol. According to witnesses, it took over ten minutes to get the heavy vehicle off the youth. The youth sustained a head injury and allegedly sustained a broken left leg (shin). The youth was transported to a nearby landing zone where a PHi Air Medical helicopter landed and transported the youngster to Conroe Regional Hospital. No citations have been issued at this time, however the accident remains under investigation and there may be citations coming. The four wheeler was recovered by family.

The youth allegedly sustained a head injury and a possible broken left leg.

The youth was loaded into an ambulance and transported to a nearby landing zone where a PHi Air Medical Helicopter landed and flew him to Conroe Regional Hospital.
