18 Wheeler Turns Over, SOUTH POLK COUNTY, October 4, 2010 - At approximately 6:30 am on October 4, 2010, a blue Peterbilt 18 wheeler driven by Efrain Villeda Lozano, 43, of Conroe, was east-bound on FM-2610 when he failed to notice a stop sign at the intersection of US-146 where FM-2610 ends. Lozano was forced to go either right or left and went right at a speed way to fast for turning a loaded 18 wheeler. The sudden fast turn caused the trailer to turn over dumping its load of sand into the weeds. The South Polk County Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the scene along with Deputy Keith Franklin and Trooper Ramey Bass with the Texas Highway Patrol. Nobody was injured in the accident. Traffic was partially blocked during cleanup. Lozano was issued a citation for disregarding a stop sign. Lozano did have insurance. The rig is to be towed by East Tex Towing out of Shepherd. At time of press (8 am on October 4) the mess is still being removed.
