Nancy Kelley's vehicle was slammed from behind, knocked into oncoming traffic and slammed again from the front.
8 Hospitalized (3 Flown to Houston) in Major Accident, SODA, October 1, 2010 - At approximately 11:20 am on October 1, 2010, a gold 2008 Chevy HHR driven by Nancy Kelley, 54, of Livingston was west-bound on US-190 East when she slowed down (and used her turning indicator) to attempt a left turn onto Beech Creek Road.  Kelley was slammed from behind by tan 1996 Chevy Lumina driven by Kimberly Williams, 45, of Shepherd.  The collision knocked Kelley's vehicle into the east-bound lanes of 190.  Kelley's vehicle was slammed again by an oncoming white 2006 Chevy Trailblazer driven by Lito Thomas, 25, of Coppell, Texas.  Kelley's vehicle came to rest in the middle of 190 while Williams' vehicle came to rest on the shoulder of the west-bound lanes and Thomas' vehicle came to rest on the shoulder of the east-bound lanes. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department Heavey Rescue Unit, Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff's Office and DPS Troopers David Flowers and Ramey Bass.  Firemen used the jaws-of-life to extract Kelley and her daugther (Kristina, 26) from her vehicle as they had to cut the roof off of their vehicle to game access (both were flown to Hermann  Hospital in Houston by PHI Air Medical).  Kimberly Williams and her three passengers were hospitalized including a 9 year old girl who was life-flighted to Hermann Hospital.  Lito Thomas and his passenger were both taken to Livingston Memorial Hospital.  All traffic on 190 was blocked during investigation, cleanup, and flight operations.  Williams was cited for failure to control speed and no insurance.  The scene was cleared by 1 pm.

Special thank you:  Precious Angel
