Rollover Accident on 1988 Near 3126, LIVINGSTON, September 30, 2008 - At approximately 11:35 am on September 30, 2008 a red 1985 Chevy Truck driven by Nelda Gibson, 39, of Coldspring, was west-bound on 1988 when her rear driver's side tire blew out. Gibson's truck began skidding, she turned the truck left but over corrected, then over corrected back to the right and her truck went off the road and rolled and came to rest upside down in the grass on the right side of 1988. Initially it was believed that Gibson was trapped in the truck, but as it turned out she wasn't. DPS Troopers Brent Murray and Darwon Evans were dispatched to the scene of the accident. Gibson managed to get out of her up ended truck and was walking around in good health at the scene. One lane of traffic was blocked as the accident was being investigated and cleared. A wrecker from Polock's Wrecker Service arrived and recovered the truck and it will be stored at Polock's Body Shop on 190 East in Livingston. Gibson had insurance. No citations were issued and the scene was cleared and traffic fully flowing by 12:30 pm.
