Driver Crashes Pickup, Arrested for DWI, SWARTWOUT, September 27, 2025 - At approximately 3:50 pm on September 27, 2025, a gray 1994 Isuzu pickup was north-bound on FM-3126 (just north of The State Park) when the driver left the pavement to the left, overcorrected right, left the other side of the pavement and slid sideways into a tree. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Trooper Simon Mijares with The Texas Highway Patrol. Mijares was assisted by State Park Police and The Polk County Sheriff's Office. The driver of the truck, Theotis Bogany, Jr., 79, of Goodrich was not hurt, however, his passenger was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries. Trooper Mijares conducted a field sobriety test on Bogany and placed him under arrest for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Bogany's vehicle was recovered by LakeView Towing out of Livingston.

Trooper Simon Mijares checked for intoxication. Mijares placed Bogany under arrest for suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
Bogany was taken to Polk County Jail.
An opened bottle of whiskey and a cooler with cold beer was inside Bogany's pickup.
