Trooper Ashlee McBride investigates an accident on US-190 just west of Livingston.
Driver Sustains Major Head Injuries in Accident, Alcohol Suspected, LIVINGSTON, September 27, 2015 - At approximately 8 pm on September 27, 2015, a white 2015 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup, driven by Terry Lee, 33, of Livingston, was east-bound on US-190 West. Lee was in the left lane of traffic when suddenly a white Nissan Frontier driven by Debra Ann Blocker, 65, of Onalaska, pulled broadside in front of Lee. Lee's pickup slammed into the driver's side of Blocker's vehicle. The impact pushed Blocker's vehicle into the median on 190 at Stewart Road. Lee's pickup came to rest on the pavement a short distance away. According to witnesses, Blocker was in the right lane a short distance ahead of Lee and decided to make a sudden left turn over the left lane and to the crossover that leads to the west-bound lanes of 190 and pulled directly in front of Lee. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Corporal Javier Segura and Deputy Terry Valka with the Polk County Sheriff's Office, the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department Heavy Rescue Unit, and Trooper Ashlee McBride with the Texas Highway Patrol. Blocker sustained major head injuries and was transported by ambulance to Conroe Regional Hospital. Lee was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries. Traffic on the east-bound side of 190 was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup. There was a strong smell of alcohol coming from Blocker and her vehicle. Blocker could be facing multiple charges including driving while intoxicated. A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing recovered both vehicles and they'll be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston.
